TU (Sittwe) was first established on the 27th.
December 1999 as Government Technical
College (GTC) at Pyidawtha Quarter, Sittwe
Township, Rakhine State. It moved to
Rachanbyin Village, Sittwe Township, on the 7th
February, 2005. Then it was upgraded to
Technological University (Sittwe) on the 20th
January 2007.
In TU(Sittwe), there are four engineering
courses such as Civil Engineering, Electronic
Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering
and Mechanical Engineering.
In order to achieve the quality of
teaching and learning, and research and
development, TU(Sittwe) is linked with other
Technological Universities in Myanmar.
Teaching syllabus for the engineering and
Academic subjects are made to meet the
requirements of the international standard.
TU(Sittwe)’s policy is to nature well
qualified engineers for the development of
the Nation, Myanmar, through using the
proper academic environments and to review
and improve continually the Quality
Management System based on ISO
9001:2015 Standard to fulfill the customer
satisfaction.
